Data in the table concern most prevalent dimensions in Finland included in the severe material deprivation indicator. Data have been classified by material deprivation and severe material deprivation.

Experiencing payment difficulties: The person's household has at least once during the year had difficulties in paying rent, mortgage repayment, utility bills, hire purchase installments or other loan repayments on time.
Inability to afford a one week's holiday per year: The person's household cannot afford a week long holiday per year outside the home. This includes any vacation outside the home, including staying at a summer cottage or visiting relatives.
Lack of food: The person's household cannot afford a meal with protein at least every other day (meal including meat, fish, chicken or vegetarian equivalent).
Inability to face unexpected expenses: The person's household could not afford paying for an unexpected expense of around EUR 1,200. The amount is equivalent to the monthly at-risk-of-poverty threshold for a one person household.
