Information
The total fertility rate is obtained by adding up the fertility rates
calculated for one year. The rate refers to the estimated number of children
born to a woman, given that the fertility rate of that statistical year
prevails during the whole reproductive period of this woman on condition that
the woman does not die before the end of the said period.
